Fall Crawl Transportation Tips
The registration booth the day of the event will be located at Baron's Pub (500 High Street). Parking is available at any of the parking lots listed on the Portsmouth Visitor Information website and street parking may also be available in certain areas. We do highly recommend that you carpool if traveling by car. A popular alternative to driving and parking is to ride the Paddlewheel Ferry from downtown Norfolk ($1.50).
All of the crawl locations are situated very much within walking distance of each other along High Street and Court Street with no more than two blocks between any two locations. The crawl map that you receive in your registration bag will help guide you to each place (in whatever order you choose). Keep in mind that all participants must heed the State of Virginia's open container law - do not carry any alcoholic beverages with you off the premises of the establishments you are visiting. Citations are not covered with your registration fee!
After the event, please GET HOME SAFELY! If you do not have a designated driver, please call one of the numbers listed below for a free and safe ride home or let us know and we will work to make arrangements for you. Or better yet, plan ahead to stay at The Governor Dinwiddie Hotel & Suites (506 Dinwiddie St) directly across from Baron's Pub with other crawl friends for a super-low rate (see hotel information page). Other inexpensive alternatives include riding the Paddlewheel Ferry ($1.50 to downtown Norfolk) or grabbing a cab (approx. $8.00 to downtown Norfolk). Thank you for your cooperation - our popular pub crawls can only continue to happen if all participants are responsible with their consumption and transportation.
